Randall's Body Competition

Recently we've been having car issues. Our muffler has been sounding funny and the tire needed fixing. Nate spent a good part of the day getting it fixed and sounding better. We've had such success with my little Saturn that it would've been a bummer if it had stopped running, especially with it being our only method of transportation at the moment. 

Later that day, we went to the body competition for our friend Randall. It was an interesting event. Men and women had certain body positions to show off particular muscles and technique. Very few individuals had a natural tan, most of the other individuals had to use this spray on/lotion stuff called pro-tab. This may come off a little rude, but at the competition, we saw the most ripped asian I have ever seen--it was insane! While watching the competition, Nate recognized one of the guys participating was an elder he worked with on his mission. Small world! We tried to say hi after, but I think he had to leave soon after.
Randall did a good job. He got 3rd or 4th place in one of the areas. Go Randall! Nate told me about some of the techniques and strategies you have to do in a competition like this. One of his friends from home and his friend's dads were in body competitions all the time or something.

Yeah, I realize these pictures are a little odd or awkward... but trust me when I say that the women looked even more awkward in their glittery, bedazzled attire.

After the competition, we decided to go to the newly established Costa Vida in town. I swear, where ever Cafe Rio goes, Costa Vida is soon to follow. The interior looked like an attempt at spicing up the 50's. Not too great. I like the one in Logan much better. They were out of knives, so I asked for one and they said they were completely out. No consolidation or anything, so I had to try to eat my food with two forks...it didn't work so well. Oh, Logan, we miss you!
