Weekend with Family

March 15
With Winter ending, Nate and I decided to give my dad his jeep back. It will be a little weird transitioning to only have one car, the Saturn. It has been my life support in travel since high school and has more than proven itself. I'm hoping it lasts us a few more years. Nate headed up Friday to Logan for some training with job. He was able to hang out with two of his closest family members, his dad and his brother Jake.
I didn't head out for Salt Lake until Saturday morning.
March 16
Nate went boarding with Jake and Larry, while I hung out with my family and went to lunch with Hope. I'm sad that she is going to be moving to Michigan for dental hygiene school, but it will be a good move for her. It was so great to visit with her and catch up on life at Zupas.
I had never been before and oh my gosh the food is AMAZING!
After my visit with Hope, I decided to make a surprise visit with my girl, Tania.
She definitely wasn't expecting me and it great to catch up.
Later in the afternoon, my dad wanted to have dinner with and visit my mom. Everybody headed over shortly after I showed up at my parent's house.
It was good to spend time with my family and get to know my sister a little bit more. As we were eating dinner, Chloe who usually loves vegetables, wouldn't eat them. She was more focused on eating the ketchup via fork out of the dipping container. Lol. She obviously got some good laughs out of everybody with her quirky, lovable behavior.
After dinner and dessert, most of us walked my mom back to her room and hung out for a bit.
This little one loved looking at herself with grandpa's phone. Too funny.
Nate arrived to my parent's house soon after we returned from the visit at Legacy.

March 17
Sunday morning we went with my family to church and then returned home to enjoy the relaxing sabbath day. Jess made a delicious chicken dinner for everybody. Before we headed back to Vernal, we enjoyed watching a movie with the fam. I love this movie and the old video game references.

Double Bridal Showers

March 22-23
We hadn't seen our friends in Logan in a very long time, so Nate and I decided to visit. Two of my gal pals were having a double bridal shower together. We arrived Friday night and played a game of trains with Kenz , Aaron and a couple of their friends. The next morning, it didn't take long to get things in motion for the main event. Decorations were put up, food was put out, Kenz's family arrived, Millie (other mother-to-be) and many of our friends showed up.
Feeling there were too many women in the house, the guys headed out of the house to go do their own thing.  I think they went shooting and grabbed some grub at Texas Roadhouse.
The food was delicious! We ate lunch and socialized all together.
When it came time to open gifts and play shower games, Millie and her guests moved downstairs while Kenz and her posse stayed upstairs. Since I am friends with both of these lovely ladies, I had to run up and down the stairs to attend both. Lol It was quite the adventure. Definitely got my exercise for the day.

It was so great to enjoy this day with them. They are going to be such great mothers to their little men. I can't wait to meet them! Henry and Parker, you have awesome mothers.
Since Aaron served his mission in Africa, I thought it would be very fitting to make a baby quilt using animal prints for their little baby. I loved the result and Kenz's expression on her face. Millie had a jungle theme for her nursery, so I gave her an elephant Wubbanub. Both Millie and Kenz are going to have the cutest little boys!
The guys returned once most of the women in the house had left. Hah. The guys watched some games on the tv, I did some much needed shopping in Logan and then Nate and I left to visit his parents in Deweyville. It was such a great visit!
