Ski Swap

November 3rd
Nate and I went to the Ski Swap in Park City.
On our way we drove through a "Fallen" cloud

We met up with some of his buddies from high school and their wives. It was really good. We found two winter coats for me and a pair of gloves for each of us all for $60. SCORE!!! Nate was pretty excited.
We drove to the downtown area for lunch. We met everyone up at a little italian place called Vinto. (I forgot to take a picture of all 6 of us...sorry)
cool light fixture above each table
We had a great time and actually spent a little bit too much time there. On our way home, we stopped by to get some winter boots for me.

Halloween!

October 31
In the last few weeks, I have been making our costumes for Halloween. It's been pretty fun. I ordered a few things online like my earrings, Nate's wig, and my leg bracelet thing. Here's the final product!
I'm not really good at hunching over like Nate is naturally.

I made the shoes so it looks likes pelts or hides.
We probably only got 4 trick-or-treaters the whole night. Our friends came over later that night to enjoy some games and eat snacks while we watched Hocus Pocus. We click pretty well with them. It was a fun night :)

Scout Training

October 27
Nate and I had to go to a mandatory scout training for all new leaders. It went from 8 to 11 straight...it was long! We did get great insight as how to run our den meetings. It should be an interesting experience as we progress in our calling. I still feel inexperienced and not entirely sure how to do our calling, but I hope we will be able to figure it out as we go. We have three boys in our Webelos group. We'll basically be building our group from the ground up. I guess the leaders before us didn't do much. I guess we'll see what happens.

Birthday Celebrations!

Oct 20-Oct 21
After camping, Nate and I repacked our things and headed for Salt Lake. It was quite the drive.
We talked to my brother and my dad for awhile before we went window shopping at a few stores. And visited my mom. She is starting to set into her new place.
Super kitty!
Later that night we hung out with my older brother and his family downstairs. I enjoyed the many facets of my niece Chloe...

We soon went to dinner to celebrate my birthday. We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory. It was soooo good!

I had crab ravioli and Nate had chicken fetticcini alfredo

Jess surprised me with chocolate cake and birthday cheers from the employees.
The next day, Nate and I went with my family to church and I talked with some of my neighbors from home. It was good to see my family again. It has been too long since we saw them last! Thanks for a great weekend!
Busted!
