It's rare that we get a decent date night these days. Nate recently had been given some fresh fish from a neighbor of ours. He decided to try a new way of cooking it for dinner. It was pretty good. I'm not usually a lake fish kind of person, but this time round it was better than I expected. After dinner, Nate wanted to do s'mores. He got the coals going, we had our IBC cream sodas, sat a talked and roasted marshmellows. For a date, this was something special. I loved it! Afterward we laid out underneath the stars on my mom's red, wool blanket. What a nice night it was! We even played our game that we created when we were dating (continuing where we left off last time)--count the shooting stars. I think right now, I am in the lead. Up by 9 or 10. Needless to say, it was great night. Just me and the hubs.

Nate recently got his concealed weapons permit in the mail and has been super eager about getting a hand gun of his own. Today, he finally found one that he liked and was affordable at the pawn shop. So he bought it. I can't remember the name of it off hand, but it is black with pretty good quality. Surprisingly enough, the grip fits my hands (small) pretty well too. Needless to say, he is SUPER excited and has been trying to figure out how to conceal it on his person since he got home.
