Aug 5 - Aug 16
Since none of my 1st grade co-workers were available to do the remediation over the summer, I got roped into it. I didn't mind too much since that meant I got to use the money for whatever I wanted (Nate said so). It was pretty hard two weeks. I had students who were going to be in first grade and some who were going to be in 2nd grade at the same time. Trying to accommodate both parties needs at the same time is difficult; quite the juggling act. On top of that, I had an aide working with me, who (I'm pretty sure) hates my guts, but then was "fake" nice to my face. (She asked for her daughter to be taken out of my class)
Fortunately, I got to put my classroom together afterward and it was only for 3 hours a day.
I decided to spend the extra money on a macbook Pro since my laptop is on its final leg.
After the last day of remediation, I went to get a 3D ultrasound of our little miss. I tried to drink a lot of water so we could see her easily--it didn't work. Little miss had her face up against the placenta, so we couldn't get a good face shot.
Long feet!
The technician also told me that she would have hair. SO cool!
After the ultrasound, I went to the lab to be tested for gestational diabetes. They failed to mention that I need to fast for 6-8 hours, so I had to come back later that day. Frustrated that I had to drive to Roosevelt twice in one day, but its what happened. I hope my test comes back negative.
Catch ya later!
