Aug 31 - Sept 1
As my due date approaches, I really wanted to spend some alone time with Nate before little girl comes. So we decided to spend a romantic weekend in Park City. We left Saturday morning and watched skiiers complete their summer practice in the pool.
It was SO cool!
Afterward we walked around the museum, learning all about the history and landscapes for skiing/snowboarding in the state of Utah. Kinda cool.
We went to this pizza place for lunch and then went next door to get gelato! The breadsticks were delicious and the gelato was even more so. Seriously, if you haven't tried gelato, I suggest you go get some and try it right now. DO IT! It's like ice cream heaven with more flavor = AMAZINGLY good! Yum Yum!
After lunch, we walked around the Tanger Outlets to do some shopping. Look at the cute outfits!!! I can't wait for little girl to get here!!! I want these clothes!
After we did some shopping, we went to go for a ride. We were debating between the Alpine Slide and the Alpine Coaster. We wanted to be careful. The guy at the window suggested the Coaster because it's secured to the track whereas the Alpine Slide is not. Sounded good to us! We hopped on board.
The guy giving the instructions was a crack up. "Make sure you brake when you see the white sign. If you don't brake in time, it will stop automatically and you will experience whiplash. Not something that you want to feel. (looks at me) Especially you." :) Thanks man, you are probably right.
So much fun! Your coaster is attached to a chain and will lead you up the hill. Once you are at the top, the chain lets go of you and you can speed down the hill in a zig-zag formation. It's awesome because you can control how fast or slow you go. LOVE it.
We went to this Mexican restaurant for dinner before heading back to our hotel.
The following morning, we decided to window shop in the older part of Park City. We got to see a lot of cool art, but not before we saw this legitimate sign. I wonder why only a prius can park there. Car-ist!
Nate had to do some stuff for his calling after church, so we headed home later that morning.
It was a good adventure. I can't wait to go back!
