New Project

July 15
Nate has been given a new handy-man project by my father.
(This is a more recent photo. Originally, the headlight was popped out and the seat was all torn up)
It hasn't been working or used in almost 10 years. The last time it was kind of working, I was in middle school and I went for a ride with my mom to my friend's place in the neighborhood. That was exciting. I then wanted to get my own motorcycle's license, but my mom said I had to learn how to drive first. :S
She loved that motorcycle. She'd drive it to work and the AF reserves. I think she even picked up my older brother from daycare on it (not very far from our house); I remember an old carseat and crate strapped to the back of the bike. Not going to lie, but she was a bit of bad-azzz--military, motorcycle, always teasing others, not very sentimental about things and very independent.
The motorcycle definitely needs work, a lot of work, but here's hoping that Nate can get it running.

Seeing my mom's signature and handwriting, brought back many memories. It was like having a part of her back.
