July 7th
Nate and I drove off about mid-morning to Salt Lake to spend some vacation time with my side of the family. Overall, it was a very lax day. Originally, we were going to bring Mom to horses or vice versa since she loves them, but it didn't pan out. Horses, riding and rodeos were my mom's and my thing growing up. Although with her current condition, it's probably not safe for her to ride one on her own.
After getting lunch at Arby's, we went to the indoor shooting range in the city. Only on arriving there did we realize it probably wasn't the safest or best place for ze baby, Chloe. :S But it ended up being alright. We took turns watching her and covered her ears when anybody opened the doors the range.
Nate's super awesome shooting skills!
The boys got really into it
Chloe enjoyed putting things in her mouth while she waited. Including: the glasses, her puffs, her book and..my shoulder. I was only expecting baby drool and then OUCH!
Yeah, we're awesome!
Even Mom did pretty well. :)
After the range, we went home, chilled for bit, Mike and Dad made my dad's homemade mac & cheese and then we watched some fireworks! My camera stinks at taking light photos..
but Jess got some awesome shots...

When the firework show was done, it was time to take my mom back to Legacy. It was so great to have her with us as our adventure began. I know she hates it there, but what else can we do?
