What a time for relaxation! I was trying to figure out what to do with myself now that I'm graduated and patiently waiting for interview calls. The first couple days I took the liberty of lounging around as much as I wanted. :) I still tried to keep the house orderly, but it was my week to myself. I read a book, did laundry, and watched Roswell (gotta love the over-dramatic 90's tv shows).
On Wednesday, Nate taught me how to play handball with our friends Danny and Amanda. I picked up on it fast, but I've still got a lot to learn. It was fun! I talked with Amanda, while the Bear River High boys played a game. Nate and Joe versus Danny and Lendel. I'm still a little confused on the scoring, but my boy brought it home and won!
On Thursday, I began my mom's mother day gift. I decided to make a shadowbox in memoir of her life. I included aspects from the air force, pictures of her with family, and symbols of her hobbies and favorite things. I continued to work on it over the next few days. It looked awesome.
The other thing that happened was I got a call from Cache Valley School District about an interview for a 1/2 time 4th grade position. I was ecstatic for the call. The date was set for Monday the 14th of May.
At the end of a great leisure week, Nate and I enjoyed the company of some of our friends for a BBQ. We went over to Joe's place for great company and dinner. I know the guys enjoyed grilling and checking out Danny's motorbike. Alissa showed the girls their new place and all three of us enjoyed chatting it up while waiting for dinner. The food was delicious! We talked it up and played Apples to Apples afterwards. Saturday morning, we mowed the lawn, ate breakfast and set off for Salt Lake to see my family.
